Johann Rudolf Schellenberg was a painter, engraver, illustrator, scientific draughtsman and poet. He produced templates for Johann Caspar Lavater's Physiognomic Fragments and for publications on entomology. He was the son and pupil of Johann Ulrich Schellenberg.
